All the BU-14 teams are having a fundraiser at Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach. Last year we saw, among others, Paul Reiser and Daniel Tosh from Comedy Central's Tosh 2.0.
The show starts at 7pm on Tuesday, June 11 and tickets are $20 each plus a two drink minimum. The last two years many people came early for dinner. Everyone must be 18 or older.
Amy Mantell, a GU-11 player last year, had two strokes over the winter holidays and was in a coma for several weeks. But when she awoke, the crisis was not over ... it was clear that this was only the beginning of a long road for Amy and her family. With bills mounting and mom Leilani having to quit work to care for Amy, the family needs whatever assistance you can provide.
Older girls tryouts are the next two weeks. These are highly competitive teams including some of the best teams in Cal South. Read more for the schedule and registration form.
